The Owasso City Council is scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. Friday, June 21, at its chambers in the Old Central building on North Birch Street. There is a single substantial agenda item — an executive session for the council to talk about the office of Owasso city manager, including matters related to job performance.
There is no agenda item that specifically gives the council a basis for taking action once it comes out of executive session.
This will be the second executive session the council has held this week about the office of the city manager. Councilors talked for nearly two hours about the city manager’s office during the Tuesday night, June 18, meeting.
Mayor Doug Bonebrake said, after the June 18 meeting, that the council had not yet reviewed the details of an investigative report prepared by Tulsa lawyer Guy Fortney regarding what he discovered during an investigation of an internal complaint or complaints against City Manager Rodney Ray, who has been on administrative leave since May 24.
Bonebrake said June 18 that all due-process requirements must be satisfied before the council can make a public announcement about the results of the investigation.
